A shuttering carpenter is a skilled carpenter who specializes in the construction of formwork or shuttering, which are temporary structures used during the concrete pouring process.

Basic job of a Shuttering Carpenter:
1. Constructing formwork and moulds for concrete structures (beam, suspended slabs, wall footing, tie beam, girder, stairs, column, wall, lintel, chamber cover, etc.) based on Approved shop drawings provided by the Foreman or the Site Engineer.

2. Installing and dismantling steel & pipe scaffolding.

3. Installing and dismantling of shutters and temporary structures used in concrete pouring.

4. Ensuring accuracy and precision in measuring and cutting materials for formwork.

5. Setting out the work area for foot walk, planter wall, arches, catch pit, soak away, manhole, gully and following engineering plans.

6. Using hand and power tools to cut plywood, wood, and assemble shutters/boxes and panels using screws.

7. Reading drawings/projects/plans provided by the Foreman or the Site Engineer.

Pay: QAR1,500.00 - QAR1,800.00 per month
