About the role:
We are currently recruiting for Project Officer for Ground Services Hub Customer Services based in Doha, Qatar.

The role is responsible to assist in the preparation, reporting and analysis of assigned business projects under the supervision of VP Doha Hub. You will assist in administrative functions of project related assignments including overall planning, tracking and documentation of one or several project proposal phase to the Project closeout. You will assist the VP Doha Hub in managing project schedules, gathering data and information for business intelligence reports cost modelling, and market research, developing analytical reports for tendering and commercial structure to create operational effectiveness within Hub Customer Services.

Specific responsibilities for the role include:

- Maintaining project documentation, track the project’s progress at every stage, ensuring all documents are kept organized and under control from start-up through every activity until the project aboard accepts the final product.
- Responsible to prepare the analytical reports for tendering and commercial structure to create operations effectiveness within Hub Customer Services.
- Alerting the VP Doha Hub for any issues at work area might cause a raise of project cost, ensuring such issues are addressed at the earliest stage to support the VP Doha Hub to keep project cost under control.
- Responsible for monitoring project schedules, preparing project progress reports, and liaising with key business stakeholders to achieve project success.
- Arrange meetings with the members of the project sponsor, who have overall responsibility for the success of the project. Make advance arrangements well before the day of the meeting. Organise all logistics, contact the attendees and keep a note of any who can’t attend. Send them any relevant information, including agendas, papers, reports and presentations and attend each meeting to take minutes.
- Reviewing the project schedule regularly to ensure task are completed by all parties within the agreed time. Evaluating the feasibility of each project task based on the project status, reporting any delay as soon as possible to the VP Doha Hub, if any.
- Analyse information on the progress of the project by using databases, assisting the VP Doha Hub to drive the project forward from planning to implementation.
- Develop, maintain update and complete all project by using databases, assisting the VP Doha Hub to drive the project forward from planning to implementation.
- Develop, maintain update and complete all project documents in the project library, checking that each document is accurate and has been accepted by the VP Doha Hub.
- Discuss the register at team meetings and project board meeting. Mention any new risks and suggest ways to improve the situation.
- Help keep project cost under control by watching for issues in work area that may cause cost to rise and alert the VP Doha Hub.
- Provide regular updates and reports on progress to VP Doha Hub
- Responsible to assist the VP Doha Hub to identify areas of potential interest for future work and projects, and prospective partner departments in Qatar Airways.
- Perform other department duties relates to his/her position as directed by the Head of the department.

About you:
To be successful in the role, you must have the following qualification and skills:

- High school/ Vocation Qualification/ Diploma or Equivalent with Minimum 4 years of job-related experience.

OR
- Bachelor’s Degree of Equivalent with Minimum 3 years of job-related experience
- Certification in Project Management
- Good level of knowledge and practical use of MS Project
- Good level of knowledge and proactive use of MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point)
- Good knowledge of Agile Project Management
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Proven experience in demonstrating flexibility to meet the changing demands of business
- Must be able to work independently with mínimal instructions
- Must have excellent problem solving and organizational skills
- Ability to work within a multi-national and multi-cultural environment
