**Position Overview**: As a Hostess you'll be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a warm and inviting welcome. Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, your role involves managing reservations, seating guests, and maintaining a pleasant waiting area. Your friendly demeanor, organizational skills, and exceptional customer service will set the tone for our guests' dining experience.
**Key Responsibilities**
**1. Guest Reception**
- Greet guests with a friendly smile and warm welcome, creating a positive first impression.
- Assist guests in a courteous manner, answering inquiries and providing information about the restaurant.
**2.** **Reservation Management**
- Manage incoming reservations and maintain an accurate record of available tables.
- Organize seating arrangements efficiently, optimizing table turnover.
**3*. **Waiting Area:*
- Maintain an organized and appealing waiting area, ensuring guests are comfortable while waiting.
- Keep guests informed about estimated wait times and engage in conversation to enhance their experience.
**4. Seating Coordination**:
- Coordinate with the service team to ensure timely seating of guests.
- Prioritize reservations and walk-in guests based on availability and reservation time.
**5. Guest Relations**
- Establish a rapport with regular guests, addressing them by name and attending to their preferences.
- Address guest concerns or special requests professionally, seeking resolutions.
**6. Reservation Confirmations**
- Contact guests with upcoming reservations to confirm details and provide any necessary information.
- Ensure reservations are accurate and updated in the reservation system.
**7. Communication**
- Collaborate with the service and kitchen teams to ensure smooth table turnover and service pacing.
- Communicate any special requests or considerations to the service staff.
**8. Upselling**
- Inform guests about daily specials, promotions, or events, encouraging additional orders.
- Seize opportunities to enhance the dining experience through personalized recommendations.
**Qualifications and Requirements**
- Previous experience as a Hostess or in a guest-facing role is beneficial.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for guest interactions.
- Positive attitude and enthusiasm for welcoming and engaging with guests.
- Strong organizational skills to manage reservations and seating efficiently.
- Ability to multitask and handle pressure during busy periods.
- Detail-oriented mindset to ensure accurate reservation and seating management.
- Customer-focused approach with a genuine desire to provide outstanding service.
- Familiarity with Qatari culture and dining etiquette is advantageous.
**Reporting Structure**
You will report directly to the Restaurant Manager. Your role in providing a warm welcome and managing guest reservations directly contributes to our guests' initial impressions. The Restaurant Manager will provide guidance and support, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
