**Primary purpose of job**
Responsible to ensure all occupational safety related laws, regulations and standards issued by The State of Qatar and

QatarEnergy are fully implemented within Mesaieed Industrial City’s operational & responsible areas including the Port, and

that the safety risks associated with the operations and activities within the city are acceptable against the company’s risk

tolerability criteria and ALARP.

**Experience & Skills**:

- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a mainly field-based safety function in the oil & gas sector, petrochemical, heavy

industrial, or construction industries.
- Experience working in a Port in either a safety or operational role, or time serving as an officer on board a seagoing

vessel, is highly desirable.
- Experience working in the GCC is desirable.
- Training and / or experience in assisting companies to obtain and maintain certifications to external standards including

OHSAS18001, ISO14001, ISO9001.
- Strong written and spoken English skills.
- Computer Competency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience working in multinational environment.

**Education**:

- A Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety Management or equivalent.
