**Bell Captain / Concierge**
As our
**Bell Captain / Concierge**, you will report to the Front Office Manager and your responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
**What you will be doing**:
- Support and coordinate the delivery of extraordinary service through coaching, training and guidance to the Bell and Door team.
- Assists Guests with all inquiries, both hotel and non-hotel related.
- Continually seek ways to improve the quality of service that the team provides to Guests and Colleagues, which result in the Banyan Tree Doha being a hotel of choice.
- Responsible for the delivering to Guest Rooms, any luggage, messages and any other items for delivery within the hotel.
- Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service.
- Ensure the timely and efficient transfer of luggage to and from Guests; rooms.
- Ensure that Guests are familiar with their room upon arrival.
- Maintain a presence in the Lobby when not delivering luggage to guest rooms, offering assistance to Guests, under the direction of the Front Office and Duty Managers.
- Conduct and attend effective shift briefings to ensure hotel activities and operational requirements are known.
- Maintain good relationship with service providers within the vicinity to ensure that information on their promotions are up to date.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of the activities of the day and of key occurrences within the city, including directions to key points of interests, restaurants, shopping, cinemas, sporting and recreational facilities, banks, consulates, embassies, transport systems and special events.
- Manage all transportation requests.
- Follow department policies, procedures and service standards, including all safety policies.
**Your experience and skills include**:
- Minimum two years of previous experience as Bellperson or Doorperson required.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional presentation.
- Good English language verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities.
- Highly responsible and reliable.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to exercise good judgement with difficult Guests.
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team.
- Ability to focus attention on Guest needs while remaining calm and courteous at all times.
