Job Description

Job Title: Operations Executive

Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee and Manage Sea Freight Operations: Direct and coordinate all aspects of Sea Freight operations, including LCL and FCL shipments, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  2. LCL Cargo Manifestation: Utilize Single Window technology to efficiently manifest LCL cargo, ensuring accurate and compliant documentation.
  3. Customs Compliance: Ensure seamless customs clearance by adhering to all relevant regulations and procedures, minimizing delays and costs.
  4. Shipping Line Negotiations: Collaborate with shipping lines to secure competitive rates and optimize delivery schedules.
  5. Documentation and Tracking: Maintain accurate records of shipments, including documentation and tracking information.
  6. Operational Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve any operational issues or discrepancies that may arise during the freight forwarding process.
  7. Industry Network: Develop and maintain a strong network of contacts within the industry to facilitate smooth operations and explore business opportunities.
  8. Supply Chain Optimization: Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to optimize supply chain efficiency and minimize costs.
  9. Performance Reporting: Prepare and present reports on key performance indicators, highlighting areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions.
  10. Industry Trends and Regulations: Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and market conditions to make informed decisions and recommendations.
  11. Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  12. Process Improvement: Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications and Skills:
  1. Bachelor's Degree: A degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  2. Proven Experience: Proven experience in Sea Freight operations and customs clearance, preferably in a freight forwarding company.
  3. LCL Cargo Manifestation Expertise: In-depth knowledge of LCL cargo manifestation and liaising with Doha Port documentation and procedures.
  4. Industry Network: Strong network and contacts within shipping lines and industry stakeholders.
  5. Freight Management Systems: Proficiency in using freight management systems and software.
  6. Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  7. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address operational challenges.
  8. Communication Skills: Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  9. Teamwork and Relationship-Building: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build relationships with clients and partners.
