**Job Title:** Structural Engineering Team Lead

**Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Structural Engineering Team Lead to join our team in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the contractor's structural engineering designs comply with contract requirements, providing guidance to the contractor to promote compliance, and supervising the engineering interface between structural and pipeline engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Compliance: Verify that the contractor's structural engineering designs meet contract requirements, including codes and standards.
  • Provide Guidance: Offer expert advice to the contractor to promote compliance with contract requirements.
  • Supervise Engineering Interface: Oversee the engineering interface between structural and pipeline engineering teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication.
  • Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts: Work with subject matter experts to ensure that structural engineering designs are aligned with company specifications and standards.
  • Manage Changes: Ensure compliance with management of change procedures for changes in the contractor's design or deviations from company directives.
  • Liaise with Vendors: Coordinate with vendors, sub-vendors, and sub-contractors regarding structural engineering concerns, determining acceptability of equipment, techniques, and methods.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in structural engineering, with a strong background in contract management and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex engineering issues.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools, including structural analysis and design software.
