Main Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Mandarin Oriental. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in meat preparation and a passion for delivering exceptional quality and service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that all cuts are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Implement and maintain food safety protocols, adhering to the standards set by Mandarin Oriental and Qatar Municipality regulations.
  • Assist superiors in the pickup and organization of requisitions, ensuring timely and efficient storage.
  • Store butchery items in dedicated containers, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Report and address cleanliness and maintenance issues in the kitchens and stewarding area.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve exceptional customer satisfaction, adhering to MOHG Legendary Quality Experiences (LQEs) and service standards.
  • Support other outlets and banquet operations as required.
  • Participate in scheduled meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • High School qualification or equivalent.
  • Preferred: Degree or Higher National Diploma in Hospitality/Culinary Art.
  • Minimum 1 year of culinary experience working as a Cook II in a high-volume hotel or free-standing restaurant.
