Job Overview

The Petroleum Industry's Key Player

We are seeking a highly skilled Petrophysicist to join our team at Qatar Energy. As a key player in the petroleum industry, you will play a crucial role in reservoir characterization and log analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead Reservoir Studies: Plan, supervise, and coordinate the collection, analysis, and evaluation of petrophysical data for well and reservoir studies.
  2. Support Well Operations: Provide petrophysical support for Qatar Energy operated oil fields and participate in interdisciplinary reservoir study teams.
  3. Mentor Staff: Mentor staff and advise management on petrophysical matters.
Decision Making Authority
  • Within broad guidelines set by senior staff, the position is answerable for their actions and consequences.
  • Make near real-time monitoring and decision-making of wireline/LWD operations.
  • Recommends operations entailing significant expenditure and generates revenue for the company.
Requirements
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant work experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • 6 years' experience doing a combination of petrophysical studies and operations.
  • Strong competency in quality control of petrophysical data.
  • Experience with new petrophysical technologies and methodologies.
  • Strong teamwork skills and effective communication.
