Role Overview

The HS MYP & DP Maths Teacher will be responsible for teaching Maths to students in grades 6-10, as well as contributing to the development of the DP and MYP Maths curricula. This role requires a highly skilled and motivated educator who can inspire students to achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities

  1. Implement DP and MYP policy and strategic plans
  2. Collaborate with the Head of High School and the MYP and DP Coordinators to ensure effective curriculum delivery, including resource selection and management
  3. Participate in the design, development, implementation, and review of the DP and MYP curriculum
  4. Contribute to the design, development, implementation, and review of assessment and reporting systems
  5. Promote the health and safety of high school classes
  6. Engage in professional development and contribute to regular staff training and meetings
  7. Foster a sense of team spirit in the high school and build connections with colleagues across the school
  8. Contribute to community service and global citizenship goals
  9. Participate in the extra-curricular activities program of the school
  10. Promote a positive attitude between the high school and the wider community through cooperative relations, publications, competitions, and other initiatives
  11. Enhance the professional standing of the teaching body
  12. Participate in the ongoing development of the DP and MYP, addressing matters from the authorization report
  13. Use technology to support high school learning, especially through the use of a Virtual Learning Environment (e.g., ManageBac, Microsoft Teams, etc.)
  14. Support the school in meeting its program obligations for NEASC and the IB
  15. Contribute to the development of Assessment for Learning (AFL) and Understanding by Design (UBD) within the high school
