About the Role

This position is ideal for a seasoned professional looking to take on a leadership role in the piping industry. As a Senior Piping Technician Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our piping worksites.

Key Tasks
  • Creating and implementing effective action plans to ensure task completion within set timelines.
  • Supervising and mentoring piping technicians to enhance their skills and productivity.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain equipment and prevent downtime.
  • Managing work crew resources, including tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Evaluating client job specifications and determining necessary manpower allocations.
  • Sourcing and ordering required spare parts and consumables.
  • Conducting regular progress updates and providing feedback to stakeholders.
  • Identifying and addressing areas for improvement in safe working practices.
  • Developing and maintaining work permits and risk assessments to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Modeling safe behavior and encouraging a culture of safety within the team.
  • Resolving any discrepancies in manufactured products with the quality team.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a Certificate of Competency (Marine Engineer Officer).
  • Proven experience in leading a team of pipe fitters/technicians in shipyard, new build, or offshore settings.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience, including 3 years of leadership roles.
