Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Development and Planning Engineer to join our team at Qatar Airways. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the continuous airworthiness and maintenance efficiency of our fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate technical documentation to assess its impact on fleet airworthiness, reliability, and safety.
  • Recommend changes to our Continuing Airworthiness Management Exposition to maintain regulatory compliance and improve department efficiency.
  • Update our maintenance tracking system with new or amended AMPs to ensure full compliance.
  • Analyze inspection programs and reliability data to propose changes and improve effectiveness.
  • Verify open deferred items in the fleet and arrange for their correction with maintenance providers in a timely manner.
  • Develop a long-term fleet maintenance plan to comply with approved Maintenance Program requirements and optimize fleet utilization.
  • Review Service Bulletins and other modifications to evaluate their applicability and cost-benefit to the fleet.
  • Control the issuance of Work Order Requests or Task Cards to Part 145 maintenance organizations to ensure compliance with required maintenance standards.
  • Provide technical assistance to Part 145 contractors and follow up on maintenance work orders to ensure compliance with required standards.
  • Control the ARC or CMR renewal process to safeguard fleet airworthiness.
