Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Weil Cornell Medicine in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting psychological assessments and providing interventions to ensure student health and wellness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement programs to evaluate, address, and monitor student mental health and personal and professional development.
  • Monitor and assess existing mental health conditions of students, including crisis intervention, relationship management, learning difficulties, mood disorders, and adjustment to campus.
  • Conduct psychological assessments, maintain confidentiality, and provide timely referrals.
  • Perform academic skills assessments and coordinate assistance for students with specific learning needs.
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and affiliate partners to develop and implement student health and wellness programs.
  • Support the development and maintenance of policies and procedures manual, ensuring compliance and consistency in area of operations.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in clinical or counseling psychology with 5-6 years of experience in psychological assessment, counseling, and promoting mental health and well-being.
  • Licensed professional to conduct psychological assessments and counseling.
  • Prior experience in healthcare education or higher education setup is highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of psychological theories, principles, and evidence-based interventions.
  • Thorough knowledge of mental health issues affecting young people.
  • Knowledge of ethical and legal standards related to the practice of psychology.
  • Empathy, compassion, and ability to establish and maintain therapeutic relationships.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact and professionalism.
  • Attention to detail, strong organization skills, and ability to multi-task within demanding timeframes.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English and Arabic (desirable).
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite of products Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
