About The Role

At Qatar Airways, we are seeking a highly skilled Airport Operations Control Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our airport operations control center. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  1. Allocating parking stands using the Gate Management System to accommodate traffic according to safety restrictions.
  2. Processing and validating day-to-day flight data on the operational day and the next day in the Airport Operational Database.
  3. Updating the Airport Operational Database with all operational data changes within a range of six days.
  4. Monitoring data flow on all AOCC systems to ensure accuracy and quality of data for all stakeholders and airport users.
  5. Monitoring AOCC system performance and its relative interfaces to secure operation of the shift and activate contingency measures if required.
  6. Monitoring the Electronics Visual Information Display System and staff information system performance to ensure data accuracy for all passenger traffic.
  7. Monitoring approach radar, Advanced - Surface Movement Guidance & Control System Radar, VHF Aeronautical frequencies, and HIA updates to deliver Ten Miles Out and Acting Landing times to all stakeholders.


About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
  2. Attendance of Airport/Airline operations courses, such as passenger, ramp, and cargo.
  3. Minimum 4 years of job-related experience required.
  4. Experience in a comparative function capacity within the aviation industry (aerodrome operations, ground handling, or airline environment).
