About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Connectivity Specialist to lead and deliver digital connectivity solutions in coordination with QR Cargo network to meet business objectives. As a key member of our Cargo Customer Experience team, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, discussing, planning, and delivering digital data sharing projects with a focus on multi-party integration, messaging, testing, and online product applications testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in planning and developing discussions around IATA industry projects, such as e-Freight, MIP, XML messaging, and Modernizing Cargo Distribution, to drive efficiencies, mitigate risks, and deliver projects successfully.
  • Manage cargo messaging solutions and processes in place, ensuring compliance to industry-standard messaging formats for data exchange, such as FWB, Freight House List, and FSU, by utilizing industry-recognized messaging formats, such as CARGO-IMP, XML, and JSON.
  • Propose, design, and implement secure and efficient data exchange protocols, along with Information Technology, such as host-to-host, web service, messaging queue, SFTP, and other connectivity models, to ensure cost-effective and standardized connectivities in place.
  • Assist line manager in the tactical delivery of industry data exchange development, such as One Record within QR Cargo, by participating in integration pilots, solution design and development, data standard development, CROAMIS implementation, testing, and requirement compliance.
  • Ensure all digital platforms comply with industry standards and regulations, such as ISO, ANSI, and EDIFACT, and organizational policies, by helping implement security measures to protect data during transmission process in the digital ecosystem.
  • Conduct periodic system process vulnerability checks and assessments within data sharing purview to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot connectivity issues in coordination with IT within digital platforms to ensure smooth flow of transactions between QR and third-party systems to avoid operational disruption and maintain data integrity.
Requirements

As a Digital Connectivity Specialist, you will be required to have robust problem-solving skills and a proactive, precise, and data-driven mindset for delivering digital projects for QR Cargo while working alongside network stakeholders, such as QR offices, GSA, GHA, IATA, industry technical providers, and others, to promote digital enablement and electronic initiatives in Qatar Airways.
