Key Responsibilities
  • Operations Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of existing operations to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Planning and Scheduling: Develop and implement plans and schedules for planting, harvesting, and crop rotation to ensure optimal yields and minimize waste.
  • Inspections and Testing: Regularly inspect crops, livestock, and equipment to ensure they are in good condition and performing optimally.
  • Supply Chain Management: Oversee the procurement and inventory management of seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and other essential supplies.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Schedule and oversee maintenance and repair of equipment and machinery to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Marketing and Sales: Develop and implement strategies to market and sell our produce, including fruit, vegetables, dairy, meat, and grain.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure all farm staff adhere to health and safety regulations and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Staff Management: Assist with the recruitment, training, and development of new staff members to ensure a skilled and motivated team.
  • Financial Management: Collaborate with senior staff to prepare budgets and financial reports to ensure the farm's financial stability and growth.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Farm Management, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in farm management or related field.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and leadership skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
