Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Adecco Careers. As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for executing contracts and tendering related activities, coordinating with end users to finalize scope, undertaking necessary market studies, preparing tender documents, reviewing and negotiating contract terms, and administering assigned contracts to ensure they are executed in the best interest of the company and in line with contract terms.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Contract Management: Recommend and implement policies and procedures for contracting processes, negotiate with suppliers to draw up procurement contracts, and facilitate contract administration, extension, termination, and renegotiation.
  2. Procurement Proposals: Formulate and coordinate procurement proposals for assigned areas, coordinate the activities of teams engaged in formulating bid proposals, scope of work, and bid review and evaluation as assigned.
  3. Contract Performance Evaluation: Evaluate or monitor contract performance to determine necessity for amendments or extensions of contracts, and compliance to contractual obligations.
  4. Dispute Resolution: Lead in arbitration on claims or complaints occurring in performance of contracts by representing the interests of the company in line with the terms and conditions of contracts; as assigned.
  5. Price and Commercial Proposal Analysis: Analyze and evaluate price/commercial proposals, and other data/information submitted by the vendors, determine reasonableness of prices and recommend best offers.
  6. Continuous Improvement: Maintain awareness and up-to-date knowledge on best practices and industry trends on contracts to facilitate continuous improvement.
  7. Reporting: Prepare periodic reports regarding assigned contract activities for presentation to management.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years' experience in supply contracts; 2 of which must have been in handling similar services preferably in a manufacturing or similar industry.
  • Engineering background is a must.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering and Law plus professional qualifications in Supply Chain management such as CIPS.
  • Strong knowledge of contracts and business law.
  • In-depth knowledge of required administrative and/or operations services (technical or general).
  • Knowledge of leading best practices contracts and procurement.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Computer literacy with high proficiency in MS Office and ERP modules.
