We are seeking a highly skilled Demi Chef de Partie to join our culinary team at Hyatt Hotels Corporation. As a key member of the kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring that dishes are prepared to the highest standards and that the dining area is always clean and organized.
Main Responsibilities
- Food Preparation: Follow recipes and specifications to ensure consistency and quality in all dishes prepared.
- Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to strict health and safety guidelines.
- Time Management: Work efficiently to ensure that dishes are ready in a timely manner, meeting the high standards expected by our guests.
- Team Support: Provide support to the Chef de Partie in managing their section of the kitchen, ensuring seamless operations and excellent service.
- Food Safety: Adhere to food safety guidelines, including proper cooking temperatures and safe food handling practices.
Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience in a Demi Chef de Partie role or a Commis Chef ready to move up a level.
- Cooking Skills: Excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and modern processes such as fermentation and sous vide.
- Time Management and Multitasking: Ability to multitask with good time management and work efficiently under pressure.
- Culinary Education: Culinary school diploma or qualification from a culinary school.
- Industry Experience: At least 2 - 3 years of experience cooking in a well-established restaurant or full-service hotel.
