About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Corporate Services Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day functions of Corporate Services, including inventory management and stores operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage end-to-end operations of Corporate Services Stores, ensuring items are available and providing solutions for alternative courses of action to avoid operational disruptions.
  • Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts, ABC analysis, and reconciling with data storage systems to keep stock control systems up to date.
  • Monitor inventory lines for hit-rate consumption patterns and apply industry best practices to keep stocks replenished at optimum levels for critical day-to-day operations.
  • Keep track of near-expiry items and publish to internal stakeholders in a timely manner to enable planning and usage before expiry.
  • Maintain an up-to-date backorder register and ensure supply chain metrics are met by monitoring supplier deliverables, lead times, and items under long-term supply contracts.
  • Explore and automate planning, ordering, storage, and issuance of Corporate Services Stores to establish effective controls and avoid audit queries.
  • Establish departmental or team objectives and priorities to align with business objectives.
  • Regularly evaluate and update departmental or team objectives, plans, procedures, and practices as needed.
  • Oversee and supervise employees, direct daily activities, recruit, train, develop, and discipline to ensure high standards of service delivery.
  • Train and develop other employees to ensure succession planning is in place.
  • Contribute to national talent development by coaching national developes and preparing them for a career with boundless potential.
  • Manage operations in the absence of the line manager to avoid operational disruptions.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent and a minimum of 5 years of job-related experience. Alternatively, a High School qualification or vocational qualification with a minimum of 5 years of job-related experience and 5 or more years of experience in a relevant support services position is also acceptable.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as high-level sensitivity and professionalism. They will be a self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal instructions and have proven ability to work under pressure to defined timescales. Good command of the English language and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are also essential.
