Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan menus that cater to the probable number of guests, market conditions, popularity of various dishes, and frequency of menu changes.
  • Review menus, analyze recipes, determine food, labor, and overhead costs, and assign prices to menu items.
  • Direct food apportionment policy to control costs and ensure efficient food production.
  • Supervise cooking and other kitchen personnel and coordinate their assignments to guarantee timely food preparation.
  • Maintain high standards of food presentation and quality by observing methods of food preparation and cooking.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years experience as Chef de Cuisine or Sous Chef in a hotel or restaurant of good standards; preferably with experience in luxury international brands.
  • Qualification in Kitchen Production or Management will be an advantage.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and occupational health and safety standards will be essential.
  • Basic computer skills in MS Office, and Recipe Maintenance System will be preferred.
