Job Summary

The Cost Controller plays a vital role in ensuring the financial health and stability of Rixos Premium Qetaifan Island North. This involves monitoring expenses, tracking inventory, analyzing financial data, and implementing cost-saving measures to optimize profitability.

  • Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives to reduce operational costs and improve profitability.
  • Collaborate with department heads to understand their financial needs and constraints and provide training and guidance on cost control measures.
  • Work closely with the purchasing department to negotiate favorable supplier terms and ensure that all goods and services procured meet quality and budgetary standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records for all cost-related transactions and conduct periodic audits to check for discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze financial data to identify areas for cost reduction and implement effective cost-cutting initiatives.
  • Supervise inventory procedures for F&B, general supplies, and operational equipment to ensure proper stock rotation and prevent wastage or overstocking.
  • Implement systems for tracking, measuring, and reducing waste and prepare monthly cost control reports.
  • Assist in preparing and monitoring department budgets and recommend financial strategies to optimize profitability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in cost control, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in financial software, and knowledge of hospitality inventory management systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, strong communication and negotiation abilities, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
