Job Overview:

The position of Expediter is a crucial role within the Project Control and Services team, responsible for ensuring timely delivery of vendor documentation, engineered equipment, and bulk materials. The Expediter will work closely with the Head, Project Control and Services to achieve on-time delivery and monitor procurement processes from material requisition to logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supports the Head, Project Control and Services in achieving on-time delivery of vendor documentation, engineered equipment, and bulk materials.
  2. Oversees and monitors EPIC Contractor's procurement processes, including material requisition, tendering/award, purchase orders, manufacturing, and logistics.
  3. Monitors the progress of engineered equipment and/or bulk materials Purchase Orders placed by the EPIC Contractor.
  4. Pursues actions necessary to detect and avoid late delivery of vendor documentation, engineered equipment, and bulk materials.
  5. Reviews vendor production schedules, monitors vendor workload, and status of sub-vendor orders.
  6. Participates in EPIC Contractor telephone calls with major vendors and suppliers to monitor progress and address areas of concern.
  7. Coordinates with the planning department to monitor and advise EPIC Contractor on vendor shipments in sequence with field construction requirements.
  8. Expedites timely submission of SPIR forms, SAP entries, and delivery of Commissioning and First Year Operating Spares in collaboration with procurement and operations departments.
  9. Provides PMT Management with timely and effective reporting of vendor documentation submittals and engineered equipment and bulk material deliveries.
  10. Coodinates with other PMT departments, including QAQC, Engineering, Construction, and Commissioning as necessary.

Requirements:

  1. Engineering and/or business degree and/or diploma with experience in the oil and gas industry in a multi-discipline engineering, procurement, and construction environment.
  2. Preferably having formal training in supply chain, logistics, and membership with recognized chartered or professional institution.
  3. 10 years' experience for degree holder or 12 years' experience for diploma holder in a similar position in the Oil & Gas sector.
  4. Experience in the GCC region is desirable.
  5. Previous working experience with Chinese companies and knowledge of Mandarin language is a plus.
  6. Sound working knowledge of materials for offshore platforms and subsea pipelines.
  7. In-depth understanding of schedule development and manufacture processes.
  8. Ability to resolve complex problems that have implications beyond procurement.
  9. Duties are normally complex and varied, requiring ability to work well with EPIC Contractor personnel at all levels in a multidisciplinary, multicultural environment.
