Job Overview
As a Petrophysics Expert at QatarEnergy, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising logging operations to acquire comprehensive data for offshore oilfield development. Your primary purpose is to produce cost-effective data acquisition plans for drilling, workover, and reservoir surveillance activities.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and supervise the acquisition of IS field logging operations
- Analyze and interpret petrophysical/formation evaluation data from new appraisal, development, and infill wells
- Provide petrophysical input into integrated reservoir/field development studies for subsurface model building and updating
- Develop petrophysical models to characterize reservoir fluids for 3D geostatic/reservoir simulation modelling and field development planning

Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum 15 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry, with at least 10 years specializing in petrophysical operations surveillance and interpretation
- Thorough understanding of open hole (wireline and LWD) and cased hole (pulsed neutron and integrity logs) tools in vertical & deviated wells
- Experience in complex carbonate reservoirs, especially in mature and highly fractured reservoirs
- Good skill and experience in borehole image processing and interpretation

Educational Background
- Minimum BSc in Petroleum Engineering/Geosciences/Applied Physics
- Excellent knowledge in wide range of horizontal well logging technology and geo-steering techniques
- Experience in deterministic and probabilistic complex lithology petrophysical interpretation approach
