Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at the University of Doha for Science and Technology. The successful candidate will have a doctorate in an interdisciplinary human-environment program, or in a field in the natural sciences, computer science, engineering or statistics that focuses on systems analysis.

The ideal candidate will have experience in analytical and computational modelling, experimental design, network analysis, text analysis and/or systems analysis. Programming skills in R, Python, MySQL, QGIS, and GRASS GIS are also essential. Additionally, skills or experience in using crowd-computing, big-data analysis, natural language processing, and compiled language programming would be an advantage.

Main Requirements

The post is a full-time appointment for a fixed term of one year, with the possibility of renewal. The successful candidate must have earned a doctorate in an interdisciplinary human-environment program, or in a field in the natural sciences, computer science, engineering or statistics that focuses on systems analysis at the time of appointment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong publication record and excellent communication and teamwork skills. They should be able to demonstrate a high level of expertise in their area of specialization and a strong interest in collaborative research.
