Senior Process Engineer Opportunity

Propel Consult is seeking a highly experienced Senior Process Engineer to lead offshore projects and study management initiatives. Our client is a leading international project management company with a strong presence in Qatar.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in process engineering, with a minimum of 15 years of experience in engineering design consultancy. They will be responsible for managing offshore design projects, providing technical authority to support portfolio teams, and guiding them on strategic studies involving flare and blowdown assessment, topsides modification, and production and capacity studies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage offshore design projects from feasibility/concept studies to detail engineering and EPIC.
  2. Provide technical authority to support portfolio teams on technical and design issues.
  3. Guide portfolio teams on strategic studies involving flare and blowdown assessment, topsides modification, and production and capacity studies.
  4. Implement Company and Client/Project policies and procedures to ensure integrity solutions meet cost, schedule, and quality criteria.
  5. Assist portfolio teams with new scopes, methodology, schedule, and execution sequence.
  6. Undertake approval and checking requirements of design/engineering documentation.
  7. Provide technical assistance to Business Development strategies, activities, and initiatives.
  8. Review and enhance processes and systems for wider use within the respective portfolio.
  9. Undertake training of less experienced engineers, including duties as a mentor.
  10. Ensure work is carried out in accordance with relevant Codes, Standards, and Procedures.
  11. Assist portfolio teams with technical integrity of deliverables on the project.
  12. Maintain and develop current awareness of relevant Codes and Standards within the portfolio teams.
  13. Support portfolio teams with other disciplines, departments, project personnel, vendors, clients, when required.

Requirements:

  • Engineering Degree in Chemical.
  • 15 years minimum experience in process engineering with 7 years minimum experience in engineering design consultancy.
  • Must have at least 5 years offshore design project experience.
  • Proficient in PFD / P&ID.
  • Expert in process simulation packages such as HYSIS, PROII, Flarenet.
  • Must have at least 5 years work experience as a LEAD.
  • Experience in various phases of project life cycle; feasibility/concept studies, FEED, detail engineering, EPIC.
