MYP Integrated English and Societies Specialist

The International School of London Qatar is seeking a highly experienced and skilled educator to join our team as a MYP Integrated English and Societies Specialist. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work with students aged 6-8 years and contribute to the development of the MYP curriculum.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing the MYP policy and strategic plans, collaborating with the Head of Middle School and MYP Coordinators to ensure effective curriculum delivery, and contributing to the design, development, implementation, and review of the MYP curriculum. He/She should be able to provide professional expertise, high-quality teaching and learning, make effective use of resources, and ensure improved standards of learning and achievement for all students.

Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have experience of teaching IB MYP English and INSO, possess excellent communication skills, and be willing to adapt to the demands of an international school. He/She should be able to participate fully in an expanding IB school, help to develop the team spirit within the specific subject area, and manage a diverse and demanding workload.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, the candidate will need to have a Bachelor's degree in education or equivalent, qualified teacher status appropriate to the teaching duties to be undertaken, and experience of teaching IB MYP English and INSO. He/She should also be aware of the principles of Conceptual Learning and Assessment for Learning, and be adept and accomplished at teaching IB MYP English and INSO to students aged 6-8 years.
