Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and performing allocation, mass balance, and data reconciliation processes and models for the production and inventory owned by all Ras Laffan producers for whom Qatar Gas operates production, loading, and storage facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform Hydrocarbon Allocation process for assigned assets in accordance with relevant Company Ventures agreements, such as Development and Fiscal Agreement (DFA) and Shared facilities agreements, like Joint Facilities Agreement (JFA) and Project Management and Services Agreement (PMSA).
  • Apply and maintain production allocation principles, methodology, rules, models, procedures, and philosophy for assigned assets to ensure proper mass balance, reconciliation, product allocation, profit centre allocation, and royalty calculation.
  • Run and maintain mass balance and data reconciliation programs to perform daily mass and energy balance and data reconciliation.
  • Analyse results and identify mismeasurements of error to document and follow up with relevant Qatargas supporting departments for resolution and provide stewardship support on measurement performance.
  • Determine reconciled production and loss quantities for all assets to produce monthly hydrocarbon allocation reports, including reporting of royalty volumes for QG ventures per governing agreements.

Key Accountabilities

  • Maintain Hydrocarbon Accounting System related to production allocation for daily and monthly production allocation.
  • Submit timely and accurate reporting of official production numbers to various internal and external customers.
  • Validate Mass Balance and Data Reconciliation (CFs), Allocation Model, and reporting activities of the team to ensure segregation of duty.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.

Knowledge and/or Experience

  • 6 years' experience with at least 3 years in LNG, oil and gas, or petrochemicals industries within an organization in measurement, allocation, operations, planning, scheduling, commercial, processing, or engineering areas.
  • Experience of mass-balancing, reconciliation, and allocation techniques/tools.
  • Experience of commercial and financial agreements.
