Producer - Planning Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Producer - Planning Specialist to join our team at Al Jazeera Media Network. As a key member of our creative services team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing plans to gather information for developing creative content.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in editorial meetings and propose ideas on what creative services should be provided and how content needs more elaboration and development.
  • Plan content development, set time schedules, define what to be covered, and the methodology needed. Follow up with program, editorial required teams, and the needed logistics (studio recording or any type of production plan).
  • Gather news and information from creative agencies.
  • Contact reporters from the region to follow up on latest events and developments with coordination with news departments.
  • Prepare documents for the creative departments to inform them on required elaboration through sending them the events calendar and needs.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Work with the portal team to enhance the quality and productivity of the portal.
  • Perform other duties relevant to the job as requested.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Media, Communications, or related fields is preferable.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of professional experience in TV news or related fields for the planning producer / minimum 3 years of professional experience for the Senior Planning Producer.
