About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity for a skilled Corrosion Engineer to join our team in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our Northern Area Corrosion & Inspection Division, you will be responsible for developing and implementing corrosion mitigation plans for our operating pipelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement Pipelines Corrosion Integrity Management Plans (PCIM) for operating facilities in accordance with company and international standards.
  • Conduct corrosion mitigation and integrity reviews to optimize inspection and corrosion programs and maintain pipeline integrity.
  • Carry out failure investigations and provide recommendations to prevent failures and improve pipeline integrity.
  • Develop and maintain OnStream Inspection (OSI) programs for field piping.
  • Support facility improvements by reviewing design packages for potential and new projects and providing comments related to corrosion monitoring and mitigation plans.
  • Collaborate with inspection teams during plant shutdowns and turnaround inspections for evaluation of internal and external corrosion issues.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in materials, metallurgical, chemical, mechanical, or corrosion engineering, or an MSc in corrosion engineering.
  • NACE Pipeline Corrosion Integrity Management (PCIM) Technologist certification, NACE Internal Corrosion Technologist certification, or NACE Senior Internal Corrosion Technologist certification.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with at least 5 years of experience in pipelines inspection, corrosion, and integrity management.
  • Knowledge of internal and external corrosion mechanisms common to upstream oil and gas pipelines and corresponding pipeline corrosion integrity management.
  • Knowledge of corrosion mitigation techniques and corrosion monitoring techniques.
  • Familiarity with government regulations and industry codes and standards specifically regarding pipeline integrity.
