About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Learning & Development Executive to join our team at The Chedi Katara Hotel & Resort. As a key member of our Human Resources Division, you will play a crucial role in identifying training needs, co-ordinating training programs, and monitoring skills training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management
    • Assist the HR Manager in identifying training needs for the hotel and coordinating training programs.
    • Monitor skills training and departmental standards as defined in the Departmental Operations Manual.
    • Ensure that all employees adhere to grooming standards and receive regular skill training sessions.
    • Plan, implement, and monitor general/core and management training in conjunction with other members of the Human Resources Division.
    • Select appropriate instructional procedures and methods for training programs.
  • Financial Management
    • Assist the Assistant HR Manager in implementing and monitoring the hotel's training budget.
    • Ensure that the department's operational budget is strictly adhered to, controlling costs and approving expenditures.
  • Customer Service
    • Support the hotel's focus on service excellence by training and assisting others to provide exceptional customer service.
    • Provide professional, courteous, and caring service to colleagues and visitors.
  • People Management
    • Oversee the hotel's recruitment and selection process, providing effective and efficient recruitment solutions.
    • Develop supervisory and management personnel through coaching/mentoring and leadership development courses.
    • Ensure that all employees are treated fairly and consistently according to their terms and conditions of employment.
  • Marketing
    • Assist the Assistant HR Manager in preparing employee communications, including the Employee Handbook and Monthly HR Activity Schedule.
    • Effectively communicate core values and behavioral standards to all levels of employees.
