We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen and Laundry Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Ennismore. As a key member of our Engineering department, you will be responsible for maintaining the hotel's equipment and facilities to ensure a high standard of service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on kitchen and laundry equipment, including chillers, air conditioning systems, and refrigeration units.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
  • Supply Chain Management: Source and contract suppliers as required to ensure timely delivery of spare parts and equipment.
  • Scheduling and Risk Assessment: Organize schedules and method of works for plant-related areas, and conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
  • Emergency Response: Be on call for any plant emergencies and respond promptly to resolve issues.
  • PPM Checks: Conduct regular preventative maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Energy Conservation: Participate in the hotel's energy conservation program to reduce energy consumption and costs.
  • Training and Development: Attend on-job training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge in line with departmental standards.
  • Tool Management: Supervise the issue of tools to maintenance staff and ensure their safe return.
  • Contractor Management: Manage contractors working on site, including safety induction and maintenance of records.
  • Communication: Liaise with contractors and suppliers to ensure smooth delivery of services.
  • Inventory Management: Raise, accept, and monitor purchase orders for equipment and spare parts.
  • Delivery and Receipt: Accept deliveries in a timely and organized manner.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise the maintenance team and external contractors to ensure deadlines are met and work is completed to a set standard.
  • Fire Safety: Participate in the hotel's fire safety team and assist in emergency situations.
  • Utility Management: Monitor utility readings to ensure good power management and reduce costs.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with changes in regulations and environmental issues.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as required and be available for emergency callouts.
  • Departmental Support: Work closely with the Assistant Director of Engineering to re-organize the department and ensure an efficient process of working.
  • Guest Projects: Plan small guest projects to minimize impact on hotel operations.
