Job Description

The Payroll Manager is responsible for developing and implementing proper procedures and managing the payroll software (Oracle). Key responsibilities include transformation activities, process optimization, and implementation of a new payroll ERP system. Ensuring finance payroll complies with local regulations regarding WPS (Wages Protection Scheme), pensions, and taxes is also essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage Transformation Activities for Process Optimization
  2. Contribute to the Design and Implementation of the New QR Group Payroll ERP System
  3. Automate Group Payroll Activities, Including System Flow of Information Regarding Variable Pay/One-Time Pay Elements
  4. Manage All Payrolls for QR Group Employees Based in Doha (Including Posted Staff Overseas), Ensuring Payments Are Made Accurately and On Time
  5. Manage Staff Full and Final Settlements for QR Group Separated Employees, Ensuring Accurate and On-Time Payment
  6. Payroll Accounting: Reconcile All Payroll-Related General Ledger Accounts Accurately and Timely
  7. Calculate the Effect of Changes in Employee Population or Changes in Laws and Bylaws
  8. Validate and Ensure Updated Recurring Payroll Information Is Available in the System to Process Correct Payments Through the Wages Protection System as Per MOLSA Requirements
  9. Maintain Employee Data and Protect Payroll Operational Data by Keeping Information Confidential According to the QR-Data-Security-Policy
  10. Ensure the Finance Payroll Team Provides the Best Possible Service to All Business Units and Subsidiaries Across the Group

About You:

  1. Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with a Minimum 10 Years of Job-Related Experience
  2. Excellent Command of the English Language
  3. Experience in Managing a Payroll Function in a Large-Scale Organization, Including Transformation and ERP Migration Activities
  4. Strong Stakeholder Management Skills
  5. Proven Ability to Work Under Pressure with Strict Deadlines
  6. Computer Literate with Knowledge of ERP Systems (Oracle or SAP) and Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
