ROV Technician Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ROV Technician to join our team at PPL Dynamics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test, maintain, and repair ROV systems and ancillary equipment
  • Conduct ROV system fault finding and repair
  • Assist with system certification, PMS, and mobilisation/de-mobilisation activities
  • Provide technical and operational support to ROV Superintendent and Workshop Manager
  • Perform electrical, electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic work activities
  • Carry out electrical and mechanical main lift terminations
  • Support operational ROV systems as required
  • Assist in the identification and ordering of suitable spare parts
  • Update and maintain ROV system service records
  • Interface with other workshop disciplines as needed
  • Ensure safe operations and maintain good housekeeping of the ROV workshop area
  • Implement and enforce compliance to work processes

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electronic, Mechanical Engineering, or vocational qualification in electricity, hydraulics, and/or mechanics
  • Industry-recognised certificates
  • Knowledge of electronics, high voltage electrical equipment, and hydraulic equipment
