Job Title: Procurement Officer

The Procurement Officer is a key role within the organization, responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods and services that meet the company's needs while ensuring optimal quality, price, and delivery terms.

Key Responsibilities:Sourcing and Purchasing:
  • Identify and evaluate suppliers based on their quality, pricing, and delivery capabilities.
  • Negotiate contracts and purchase agreements to secure advantageous terms.
  • Issue purchase orders and track order fulfillment to ensure timely delivery.
Inventory Management:
  • Monitor stock levels and forecast future inventory needs based on sales and production trends.
  • Ensure timely replenishment of inventory to prevent stockouts or excess stock.
Supplier Relationship Management:
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and identify new potential suppliers.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews of suppliers and address any issues or concerns.
Market Analysis:
  • Stay informed about market trends, pricing fluctuations, and new products to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Analyze spending patterns and seek opportunities for cost savings.
Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the production, sales, and logistics teams to understand their procurement needs.
  • Collaborate with finance to ensure timely payment of suppliers and adherence to budgetary constraints.
Compliance and Reporting:
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and present procurement reports to management highlighting key metrics and recommendations.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the FMCG or non-food sector.

Skills:

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Type: Temporary
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: QAR 6000.00 per month
