About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned legal professional to join our team as a Vice President - Legal. As a key member of the Legal Department, you will be responsible for providing legal support to the bank's departments and regulatory authorities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To advise on financial regulation and provide general commercial advice in an in-house financial services context.
  • To draft legal documents, including contracts, agreements, resolutions, minutes of meetings, and other documents as directed by the Chief of Legal.
  • To liaise externally with regulatory authorities, legal service providers, and other parties on legal matters.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Law; a Master's degree or equivalent professional qualifications is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of legal experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the investment banking sector.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of investment banking products and services, as well as familiarity with the regulatory environment governing financial institutions in Qatar.
  • Skills: Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to provide strategic legal advice in a fast-paced environment.
