Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Optometrist to join our Medical Practice team at Park Hyatt, where you will have the opportunity to deliver exceptional eye healthcare services to our patients.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive eye examinations, diagnosing eye conditions, and developing personalized treatment plans, as well as educating patients on effective management and recovery techniques.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Assessment and Management

You will assess and manage complex eye conditions, developing customized treatment plans that cater to individual patient needs.

Eye Care Services

As a primary eye care practitioner, you will provide routine eye exams, refraction, fitting, and dispensing of corrective lenses, as well as perform ophthalmic diagnostic tests and rehabilitate conditions of the visual system.

Treatment Planning

You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop goal-oriented, evidence-based treatment plans, ensuring seamless care coordination and optimal patient outcomes.

Patient Education

You will educate patients on effective self-management techniques, provide clear explanations of their conditions and treatment options, and empower them to take control of their eye health.

Professional Development

You will maintain and expand your knowledge and skills through ongoing learning activities, staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in optometry and vision care.

Communication and Collaboration

You will work closely with colleagues, including physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals, to ensure seamless care coordination and achieve shared goals.

Quality Assurance

You will adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and guidelines, maintaining accurate records, and participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.

  • Proficiency in using digital applications and IT systems to document patient information and manage clinical records.

Requirements

  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in the field of Optometry, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A valid license to practice Optometry in Qatar, with a strong understanding of local laws and regulations governing the scope of practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of the organization.
