Job Title: Medical Affairs Manager

UrbaCon Contracting & Trading is seeking a highly skilled Medical Affairs Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance in our medical staff and hospital management projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clinical Credential Process: Oversee the clinical credential process, certification, licensure, clinical/ethical compliance, and medical staff by-laws to ensure seamless operations.
  • Project Coordination: Initiate, coordinate, and assist in ongoing medical staff/hospital management projects and activities, ensuring timely completion and effective results.
  • Patient Care Review: Coordinate a system for patient care review that enables staff committees to monitor physician performance and the credentials committee to maintain appropriate physician privileges.
  • Quality Improvement: Partner with leadership to develop and direct an organization-wide quality improvement and patient safety program, driving continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Liaison and Representation: Serve as a liaison between the medical staff and management, representing clinical interests to senior management and ensuring effective communication.
  • Research and Development: Support pharmaceutical research trials in different development phases, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and growth.
  • Analysis and Evaluation: Involve in the evaluation of analysis results, providing insights and recommendations to inform business decisions.
  • Marketing Strategies: Collect relevant information and elaborate on marketing strategies, working closely with marketing and sales colleagues to drive business outcomes.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Financial Planning: Contribute to the development and execution of the department's short to mid-term plans, ensuring alignment with the division's strategic priorities and supporting the achievement of financial objectives.
  • Policy Development: Provide input into the development and implementation of the department's policies, systems, processes, and procedures, identifying potential areas of improvement to support an efficient and effective operation.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant HSE&E and QM policies, procedures, and controls across the department, guaranteeing employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality service standards, and a responsible environmental attitude.
Job Knowledge and Skills:
  • Accreditation Process: Comprehensive knowledge of accreditation process in an acute Healthcare Facility, with particular emphasis on JCI.
  • Healthcare Industry: Strong knowledge of the Healthcare industry, including its trends, challenges, and best practices.
  • Evidence-Based Medicine: Training on Evidence-Based Medicine and/or clinical epidemiology is desirable, as is a sound understanding of Good Clinical Practices and SOPs.
  • Scientific Methods: Can understand scientific methods and experimental designs, with strong influencing, negotiation skills with different types of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Teamwork and Problem-Solving: Team player, problem solver with clear focus on results, excellent written and oral communication skills, and proficiency in word and PowerPoint.
  • ERP Knowledge: Proficiency in ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills, are a requirement to be successful in this role.
