About the Role

eFinancialCareers is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our education sector investment efforts.

Job Description

We are looking for a highly experienced Director to oversee the overall strategy, development, and management of our education fund's portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for formulating and implementing investment strategies in the education sector, focusing on opportunities that align with both financial and social impact goals.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in investment management, with a focus on the education sector, philanthropy, or social impact investing. They will possess excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, as well as the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and work with various stakeholders in the education and finance sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the overall strategy, development, and management of the education fund's portfolio.
  • Formulate and implement investment strategies in the education sector.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, government bodies, education providers, and philanthropic organizations.
  • Oversee fundraising initiatives, including identifying new investors, cultivating relationships with existing ones, and overseeing capital deployment.
  • Manage the financial performance of the portfolio, ensuring adequate returns while minimizing risk.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and adhere to ethical investment guidelines.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Education, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in investment management, with a focus on the education sector, philanthropy, or social impact investing.
  • Proven experience in managing and scaling investment funds, including fundraising, deal sourcing, and portfolio management.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in financial modeling, due diligence, and valuation.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
