Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Equity Investment Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing large-scale equity portfolios and achieving performance targets.

  • Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive equity investment strategy aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Provide high-level direction and oversight for the portfolio management and fund management teams.
  • Oversee the management of equity portfolios, including asset allocation, risk management, and performance evaluation.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends and economic developments to inform investment decisions.
  • Lead the development and management of equity funds, ensuring they meet performance targets and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to attract and retain investors and manage relationships with key clients.
  • Manage and mentor a team of investment professionals, fostering a high-performance culture and promoting professional development.
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and performance evaluation for team members.
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis of equity markets, including evaluating potential investment opportunities and risks.
  • Make informed investment decisions and recommendations based on quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of investment performance and fund activities to senior management and investors.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional investors, analysts, and other key stakeholders.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Advanced degree (MBA, Master's in Finance, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in investment management, with a significant focus on equity portfolio and fund management.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale equity portfolios and achieving performance targets.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, investment strategies, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills with the ability to drive team performance and collaboration.
  • Advanced analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to stakeholders.
  • Professional certification CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst Level 3) required.
  • Experience managing equity portfolios or funds within the MENA region highly desirable.

The salary range for this position is £120,000 - £180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
