Key Areas of Responsibility- Program Development and Implementation
- Develop and implement programs that cater to student needs, focusing on orientation, academic advising, and support services.
- Maintain open communication channels, addressing student concerns and ensuring timely resolutions.
- Foster partnerships with student organizations and leadership groups to promote engagement and co-curricular activities.
- Implement student feedback mechanisms to assess satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.
- Organize student-centered events that promote a sense of community and belonging.
- Collaborate with internal departments to support student-led initiatives and extracurricular programs.
- Coordinate workshops and seminars contributing to student personal and professional development.
- Provide guidance and support to students facing personal, academic, or social challenges.
- Ensure students are aware of available resources, including counseling, mentorship, and wellbeing services.
- Contribute to the development of policies promoting inclusivity, diversity, and a safe learning environment.
- Support the Academic Registry in providing timely academic guidance and administrative assistance.
- Assist with student records management, tracking student engagement, and generating reports for institutional improvement.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to enhance student retention strategies.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor's degree in education, student affairs, social sciences, or a related field.
- Experience in student services, academic administration, or a related area in higher education is preferred.
- Strong understanding of student engagement principles and best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff.
- Strong organizational and event planning abilities.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to handle sensitive student concerns with discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and student information systems.
