The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of student engagement principles and best practices, with a proven track record of designing and implementing programs that enhance student experience and retention.

Key Areas of Responsibility
  1. Program Development and Implementation
  • Develop and implement programs that cater to student needs, focusing on orientation, academic advising, and support services.
  • Maintain open communication channels, addressing student concerns and ensuring timely resolutions.
  • Foster partnerships with student organizations and leadership groups to promote engagement and co-curricular activities.
  • Implement student feedback mechanisms to assess satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.
Event Planning and Coordination
  • Organize student-centered events that promote a sense of community and belonging.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to support student-led initiatives and extracurricular programs.
  • Coordinate workshops and seminars contributing to student personal and professional development.
Student Support and Wellness
  • Provide guidance and support to students facing personal, academic, or social challenges.
  • Ensure students are aware of available resources, including counseling, mentorship, and wellbeing services.
  • Contribute to the development of policies promoting inclusivity, diversity, and a safe learning environment.
Administrative and Academic Support
  • Support the Academic Registry in providing timely academic guidance and administrative assistance.
  • Assist with student records management, tracking student engagement, and generating reports for institutional improvement.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to enhance student retention strategies.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  1. A bachelor's degree in education, student affairs, social sciences, or a related field.
  2. Experience in student services, academic administration, or a related area in higher education is preferred.
  3. Strong understanding of student engagement principles and best practices.
  4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  5. Ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff.
  6. Strong organizational and event planning abilities.
  7. Problem-solving skills and ability to handle sensitive student concerns with discretion.
  8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and student information systems.
