About the Role

An exciting opportunity to join Qatar Airways as a Maintenance Supervisor - Residential. In this role, you will oversee all maintenance activities to ensure the smooth operation of buildings and facilities at multiple locations, adhering to Qatar Airways standards in a cost-effective and timely manner.

Your Key Responsibilities

  1. Conduct regular inspections of assigned facilities to assess their condition, prepare inspection reports, diagnose problems, and initiate necessary actions to optimize the lifespan and operational reliability of the facilities.
  2. Ensure all pending maintenance requests are followed up, and the system is updated with the latest comments/feedback provided by the on-site maintenance team. Communicate maintenance-related issues to the landlord, if applicable, and ensure the work is completed within set timelines and standards.
  3. Inspect all completed maintenance-related works, verify that the work is completed as per the scope of work, and sign off on the completion certificate.
  4. Assist the Maintenance Manager in drafting detailed scopes of work for plumbing, electrical, and HVAC components of projects.
  5. Respond to emergency situations, such as fires, power outages, and AC failures, on a 24/7 basis.
  6. Administer the work of contracted staff on all projects, including assigning tasks and reviewing and evaluating work in progress.
  7. Review requests for service, determine whether the problem can be resolved through in-house resources, set priorities/timelines, communicate the timelines to the customer, and execute the job accordingly.
  8. Plan labor and material needs for designated maintenance and repair jobs to ensure adequate materials and equipment are available to carry out scheduled/unscheduled maintenance tasks.
  9. Maintain daily records regarding manpower, materials, and equipment usage.
  10. Maintain a preventative maintenance program for all mechanical equipment, organizing manufacturers' suggested systems and parts checks into an ongoing preventative maintenance schedule.
  11. Maintain emergency standby power, fire, and safety equipment, and perform weekly testing on all emergency generators.
  12. Participate in the preventative maintenance and monitoring of the operation of HVAC units, maintaining data relating to temperature, humidity, and time of day for performance monitoring.
  13. Perform other department duties related to your position as directed by the Head of the Department.

Your Skills and Qualifications

We are seeking a passionate and experienced professional to join our Corporate Services team. The ideal candidate should possess the following:

  1. Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of job-related experience or a minimum qualification of Diploma or trade certification in an electrical/mechanical field with a minimum of 7 years of job-related experience required.
  2. Excellent command of the English language, written and spoken.
  3. Similar experience in a multicultural environment, preferably in the Middle East.
  4. Experience working in Hotel/Hospitality/Facilities Management.
  5. Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  6. Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English and handling customers in a polite and patient manner.
  7. Excellent knowledge of maintenance works of electrical, plumbing, drainage, and air conditioning.
  8. Valid Qatari or a transferable driving license.
  9. People management and basic leadership skills.
  10. Strong knowledge of MS Office and should be IT knowledgeable.
