Geotechnical Engineer II - Doha, Qatar

PPL Dynamics is seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer II to join our team in Doha, Qatar. As a key member of our geotechnical team, you will be responsible for conducting geotechnical investigations and geophysical surveys at site.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement geotechnical investigations and geophysical surveys to support underground construction projects.
  • Apply standard Rock Engineering principles, techniques, and analyses to complete conventional, moderately complex assignments within the geotechnical discipline.
  • Collaborate with clients and project personnel to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain intimate knowledge of geotechnical software, including gINT, RSData, Dips Unwedge, SWedge, RocFall2, and RocFall3.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry design codes, including Eurocode, British Standards, and LRFD Bridge Design Specifications.
  • Produce well-written reports with organized structure and minimal need for grammatical corrections.
  • Interface with clients on matters relating to work assignments and provide technical support as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil/Geological/Geotechnical Engineering and 5+ years of related work experience.
  • Internationally recognized engineering license such as PE, SE, and CEng is highly preferred.
  • Business-level English language skills sufficient to communicate effectively with clients and project personnel.
