About the Job

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to join our team at People Dynamics. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the production process, ensuring timely completion of projects, and maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Implement Departmental Policies: Ensure that all departmental policies, processes, and procedures are implemented and followed by subordinates.
  2. Lead and Control Workforce: Lead and control a workforce engaged in shipwright activities, ensuring that work is completed within allocated manhours and resources.
  3. Attend Meetings and Highlight Issues: Attend various meetings, including VSCC, onboard production meetings, and section review meetings, and highlight any issues related to SHEQs and production.
  4. Coordinate Work Progress: Coordinate work progress with project managers, superintendents, other trades, and departmental staff to ensure smooth project execution.
  5. Liaise with Commercial Teams: Liaise with invoicers and estimators to ensure that commercial targets are met.
  6. Supervise Subordinates: Organize and supervise the activities and work of a small team of subordinates to ensure that all work within a specific area of departmental activity is carried out efficiently and in compliance with procedures.
  7. Prepare Departmental Reports: Prepare departmental reports on time and accurately to meet company and department requirements, policies, and standards.
  8. Manage Subcontractor Jobs: Manage subcontractor jobs by coordinating with subcontractor supervisors and foremen for lump-sum jobs and labor supply contractors.
  9. Liaise with External Representatives: Liaise with external representatives, such as owner representatives and class surveyors, in all matters related to product requirements, work specifications, drawings, and ensure completion of tasks.
  10. Initiate Site Instructions: Initiate site instructions, technical queries, work completion certifications for all onboard jobs.
  11. Coordinate Plans and Drawings: Coordinate plans, drawings, answering of enabling notes, nonconformance reports.
  12. Check Subcontractor Timesheets: Check the status of material and coordinate for raising purchase requests.
  13. Comply with Safety and Quality Policies: Comply with all relevant safety, quality, and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
  14. Perform Other Duties: Perform other related duties or assignments as directed to contribute to the continuous operations of the department.
Qualifications and Experience:
  1. Diploma or Degree: Diploma or a degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or its equivalent.
  2. National Association of Corrosion Engineers (N.A.C.E): Level 1 National Association of Corrosion Engineers (N.A.C.E) - Desirable
  3. Ship Repair and Construction Experience: Experience in ship repairing and ship construction yard.
  4. Supervisory Experience: 5+ years of experience as Supervisor or in a similar position in Marine or New building Yard.
  5. Knowledge of Surface Preparation and Coating Systems: Knowledge of all types of surface preparation and coating systems.
  6. Ship Repair and New Building Yard Knowledge: Knowledge and Experience in ship repair and new building yard.
  7. Blasting Standards and Surface Preparation Knowledge: Knowledge of Blasting standards and all types of surface preparation.
  8. Painting Specification and Classification Knowledge: Knowledge of Painting specification & classification of paints.
  9. Paint Application Methods Knowledge: Knowledge in all types of paint application methods.
  10. Assessment of Areas for Blasting and Painting Knowledge: Knowledge in assessment of areas for blasting and painting i.e quantity surveying.
