As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining the workstation assigned by the Chef on duty, working efficiently in accordance with policies, procedures, and standards of the kitchen. Your primary objective will be to ensure that all food products are handled, stored, prepared, and served safely, adhering to Food Safety guidelines.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in professional cooking, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in similar roles. A bachelor's degree or equivalent is also required. If you're passionate about delivering exceptional cuisine and have a keen eye for detail, we'd love to hear from you
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef in daily operations, reviewing and planning production sheets to support restaurant operation.
- Work according to menu specifications and requirements, adhering to standardized recipes and specifications to maintain consistency and meet all standards.
- Prepare food items in accordance with standards in a timely and efficient fashion to ensure that all standards are met and maintained.
- Keep overproduction and food waste to a minimum, ensuring proper rotation, labeling, and storing of food to reduce food cost expense.
- Prepare daily mis-en-place and food production in different sections of the kitchen to ensure safe food handling, storage, preparation, and serving.
- Report any deficiencies in kitchen equipment functionality and quality of food products to Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef in a timely manner.
- Respond positively to feedback from guests and staff, documenting and bringing it to the attention of Junior Sous Chef for review and improvement.
- Instruct Commis Chef in daily responsibilities, actively participating in setting up buffets and special functions inside or outside the Restaurant.
