Senior Instrumentation and Control Systems Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Instrumentation and Control Engineer at McDermott Doha, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing conceptual, front-end engineering design (FEED), and detailed analyses and design as per design basis, project specifications, design codes, and standards.
  • Applying your knowledge and skills to a wide range of standard and non-standard situations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality designs.
  • Preparing clear and accurate detailed design calculations and analyses, including design reports and procedures, to support project execution.
  • Managing your own time to meet agreed deadlines and budgets, and developing plans for short-term work activities in your area.
  • Clearly communicating and explaining complex issues and work to establish understanding with project stakeholders.
  • Being fully familiar with the project scope of work, specifications, schedule, and all inter-discipline requirements, including identifying concerns as early as practicable and taking appropriate initiatives to address the issues.
  • Identifying changes to scope and promptly raising change notifications, including providing any necessary supporting documentation and estimates.
  • Providing similar support for Variation Orders.
  • Interface with all disciplines to develop clash-free designs.

  • Strong understanding of instrumentation and control systems design principles and practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools and technologies, including design and simulation software.
