Job Title: Materials Specialist

Applus+ is seeking a highly skilled Materials Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of Bills of Materials (BOMs) for our oil and gas projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. BOM Development: Create and update detailed BOMs for various phases of oil and gas projects, referencing project RSPLs.
  2. Material Research: Conduct thorough research on provided RSPLs to validate materials and components, reviewing supporting documents, technical specifications, industry standards, and compliance requirements.
  3. Master Data Governance: Process creation or change of stock codes, functional locations, equipment numbers, BOM headers, BOM parts, and assigning BOM IDs to equipment numbers through Master Data Governance.
  4. Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, project engineers, procurement teams, and project contractors to gather information and ensure BOM accuracy.
  5. Documentation and Organization: Maintain accurate records of BOMs, including revisions and updates, ensuring systematic categorization and organization for easy retrieval.
  6. Quality Assurance: Conduct regular audits to verify BOM accuracy and completeness, cross-checking against project specifications, reviewing vendor documentation, and conducting on-site inspections if required.
  7. Procurement and Coordination: Manage procurement of long-lead project materials, review and approve project materials reconciliation reports, and coordinate with QA/QC, warehouse, and contractors for material inspections.
