Job Title: Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at a hospital in Minnesota. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our respiratory therapy department.

Job Summary:

This is a permanent, full-time position that requires a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with a strong background in respiratory care. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a patient-centered approach, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide respiratory care to patients with a variety of respiratory conditions, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, and pneumonia.
  • Conduct pulmonary function tests, including spirometry and arterial blood gas analysis.
  • Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and optimal outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an approved respiratory care program.
  • Current Minnesota RT License (or obtained within two months of hire).
  • Must be certified as a BLS provider.
  • Must attain and maintain certification as an ACLS Provider (if applicable).
  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) certification.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification (obtained within one year of hire date).
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (if assigned to NICU).
  • Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT) certification (if assigned to Diagnostics-PFT/Bronchoscopy).
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (if assigned to Charge position).

Work Schedule:

This position requires a 12-hour shift, working nights from 7:00pm to 7:00am, every third weekend.
