The Middle East Council on Global Affairs (Mecouncil) is a leading think tank based in Doha, Qatar, focused on policy-relevant research and engagement. The Doha Global South Health Policy Initiative, launched in collaboration with the Gates Foundation and Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, aims to address stagnating health indicators in low- and middle-income countries.

As the Initiative Lead, you will be responsible for managing the initiative, developing its health policy portfolio, and providing technical support to partners. Your expertise in public health, particularly in low- and middle-income contexts, will be crucial in achieving the initiative's goals.

This role requires a Medical Degree (MD) and a Master's Degree in Public Health (MPH) or a related field, as well as at least 10 years of professional experience in public health. You should have a strong track record of leading and managing public health projects, collaborating with stakeholders, and advising on public health initiatives.

The successful candidate will be skilled in preparing and delivering briefings, reports, and presentations for diverse stakeholders. They will also be able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, build partnerships, and effectively use resources.
