About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Company Pharmacist to join our Group Medical Department at Qatar Airways. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of The Medical Centre pharmacy and pharmaceutical stock, as well as the management of Qatar Airways Medical Kits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee the pharmacy dispensary, ensuring good pharmacy practice and compliance with Qatari Law and the regulations of Pharmacy and Drug Control Authority.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures and work instructions to ensure efficient and timely operation of the pharmacy and Medical Kits.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to check pharmaceuticals availability and initiate requests through Qatar Airways e-sourcing and Oracle portal.
  • Ensure accurate tracking and recall of pharmaceuticals inside Medical Kits, and generate unique barcodes for pharmaceuticals and Medical Kits.
  • Manage the inventory of pharmaceuticals, including Psychotropic and Narcotic substances, and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records and documents, including drug registry log-books and conformity certificates.
  • Perform planned stock/inventory checks and ensure good condition of stocked pharmaceuticals.
  • Manage the Pharmacy Technician daily tasks/operation of receiving, packing, refilling and certifying the Medical Kits.
Requirements
  • Relevant College or University qualification to min Bachelor's level with minimum 5 years relevant experience.
  • Able to hold pharmacist license to practice in Qatar.
  • Must have passed Qatar Council for Healthcare practitioner evaluation process successfully.
  • Hold valid Pharmacist license to practice in Qatar.
  • Working experience managing Pharmaceutical stock in pharmacy or drug store is required.
  • Previous experience dealing with wholesale suppliers.
  • Experience handling Psychotropic and Narcotic substances in Qatar.
  • Previous experience as part of a large corporate organization.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to details is a key skill for the role.
  • Computer literacy with knowledge on various stock management software.
