The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing tenders and providing front-end sales support to meet the objectives of our overall business plans and strategies.
Key tasks and responsibilities include:
- Receiving enquiries from sales, operations, management, or customers and acknowledging receipt.
- Reviewing commercial terms and work scope, liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure bid submission deadlines are met.
- Coordinating with sales teams to prepare technical and commercial proposals.
- Liaising with operations teams to determine repair and overhaul timescales, parts and repair requirements.
- Coordinating with vendors to obtain 3rd party materials and subcontract quotations.
- Producing costing sheets for review with operations, finance, and sales teams.
- Preparing quotations for additional work identified during order execution.
- Ensuring tenders meet company commercial guidelines and have necessary sign-off in accordance with delegation of authority guidelines.
- Ensuring Order Entry documentation is completed in accordance with handover guidelines and procedures and company KPIs.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering;
- Relevant experience within Pump/Rotating Equipment industry;
- Good understanding of pump machinery, assembly, and manufacturing processes;
- Experience of dealing with rotating equipment repair and overhaul tenders;
- Experience of contract negotiation in a commercial environment;
- Ability to act independently;
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to change.
